APPERANCE

Carthis is a 5'5" (167cm) transmasculan character with a lithe build. His left side (including his eye, arm, and leg) and neck is robotic, his hair is long and tied at the end, and his general demenour is akin to a pleased feline. He has pale skin which is deeply scarred on the left side, save for his face, where the Robotisizer exploded and burned him. Carthis also has a golden fang in place of his left canine tooth.

When drawing, the most important thing is a smooth appearance. This version of Carthis is more sensual, moving with a suave sort of step that belays effeminate royalty. His intelligence is also more prevelent in this version, giving him a snide sort of know-it-all vibe and a coyness that keeps people guessing. Carthis is-- or believes he is-- extremely valuable, in body and mind. Every step he takes is as calculated and organized as his thoughts, save for his often flamboyant performances.

Unlike the AoStH version, this Carthis is exulted royalty, and a former prodegy. Dispite his suave nature, he should always have a deep tension about him, a resounding bitterness that drives him from his core. He's not a villain-- in most cases, he's even friends with Sonya-- but he's not a "good guy," by any means. Robotnik's rule directly benifits Carthis, economically and politically, as seeing his own people suffer at the hands of an evil dictator is a sort of well-deserved karma for executing his father and banishing him.

BIO

Formerly the heir to his own country's throne, the exulted Prince Carthis was removed from power before he could take it. His father's rule was usurped by a democratic council after a particularly miserable coup, where their ailing father was unable to fight back.

Terrified, Carthis fled to the slums, where he would remain for several years before trying to jump the boarders into Mobian territory, specifically Robotropolis.

Captured and slotted for robotisization, the ex-prince would be spared by a malfunction, leaving them partially altered but keeping their mind intact. With a new lease on life, Carthis would escape into Robotropolis, quickly realizing the miserable elite were desperate for entertainment.

Prince Carthis would grow obsesed with Robotropolis and it's economic boom, quickly seizing power within his circle. This allowed for some leniancy, where he would perform for the nobles and vanish into the night before having to deal with Robotnik's SWATbots and other enforcers. He kept this going for some time, amassing a small fortune by peddling black market art and entertainment. Eventually, he grew to big to remain fully hidden, and his existance was brought to light by several nobles fearful of being accused of siding with the resistance.

Carthis grew arrogant quickly, and openly taunted Robotnik and his supporters with flagrant displays of such illegal topics as sexuality and music. He actively made reference to Robotnik in his shows, often with some sort of perverse twist, further infuriating the dictator.

PERSONALITY

RELATIONSHIPS

SONIA HEDGEHOG Since he was raised AFAB, Prince Carthis actually has quite a lot in common with Princess Sonia. They were given similar rules of ettiquite to follow, and often treated as lessers. Both were also "tomboyish", with a need for action over pleasantries. He actually quite likes her, and has offered to work with her many times. He does not feel this way towards her brothers, who annoy him deeply.

SLEET & DINGO Prince Carthis thinks they're incompetant at best, downright stupid at worst. While he recognizes them as a threat, particularly since they aren't robotic, he still makes sure to take the time to insult them whenever possible.

ROBOTROPOLIS NOBILITY Despite performing for them, Prince Carthis has a deep hatred for Robotroplis' elite, viewing them as fake and hypocritical.

DR. ROBOTNIK Prince Carthis looks up to Robotnik, who crushed the democratic council that usurped his father within days of his faux-anointment in Robotropolis. His own country was plunged into a darkness far worse than the previous royal family could have conceived of, something he views as divine justice for their coup. This respect for Robotnik can boarder on obsession, though they're smart enough to stay well away from him.

QUEEN ALEENA While he doesn't have any relationship to her, Prince Carthis actively detests the idea of her returning to power. He knows he'd be sent back to his home country, and thusly never being given the opporitunity to reclaim what is rightfully his. Along with Sonic and Manic, he will actively seek to get in their way to prevent the coming of The Council of Four.
